About The Author

Born February 14th in Cleveland, Ohio, I started journaling as a young child. It brought me peace, joy and happiness as I escaped into my own imagination. Journaling eventually became more of a daily routine instead of a hobby. Now it’s a necessary activity that leaves me feeling empty if I don’t journal daily. Journaling has also been my stress reliever - helping me remove unwanted stress from life’s challenges. It’s a form of relaxation that has become a natural teacher of prayer. Together, praying and journaling keep me balanced and at peace. Without them both, I feel incomplete.

Professionally, I’ve earned an Associate’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Administration from Ashford University. I was a daycare provider and school bus driver for over 10 years. I also have many years of experience as a substitute teacher. Now, at 59 years young with seven children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, I am proud to introduce my first praying journal. After years of purchasing all types of planners, I decided to publish my own centered around praying, journaling and positive change. Although the road to publication seemed scary as a new author, I prayed about it, stepped out on faith and this praying journal is the end result.

Once upon a time I believed that God would only hear your prayers if you kneel while praying. However, over the years I’ve learned that there are different ways to pray - sitting, kneeling, walking, or standing still - and there is no right or wrong way to pray. Praying is powerful. You can pray at any time, in any place, for any occasion and God will hear you. With this praying journal, I want to reach as many people as possible to encourage praying, while praying for people from all walks of life. I also want to leave my readers with the understanding that praying is powerful and through praying, anything is possible.
